Johanna Hampson
Our principal physiotherapist, Jo Hampson graduated from Physiotherapy over 2 decades ago with the Australian Physiotherapy Prize for Highest Standards of Clinical Practice. With a solid grounding in public health and orthopaedics, Jo acquired qualifications in soft tissue therapies, including fascial release, craniosacral therapy, dry needling, remedial and Chinese massage, enriching and improving treatments. She has worked with postural specialists and sports clinicians, with neurological specialists and in children's hospitals. Hands on skills are her specialty for the person with a niggling complaint or severe pain. She has worked in sports, family and Aboriginal health across Australia, with a wide range of ages and conditions. Healing is the aim, and quality care is how it is achieved. Jo works best with the ordinary person, who never turns out to be ordinary.
Over time the NDIS rolled out, and so did the requests for help with daily life from people with disability. Jo began to support people from remote areas with respect and physical capability, and over the last 4 years, Jo has responded to these people with developing a core supports service. Solid physical and respectful care is the aim.
